Joy Griffiths- Learning And Play Outreach Worker
I promote the importance of books and play in a child's early years, working with families who have a child under 4. I prepare and run sessions aimed at improving a child's ability to learn.

Bobbie Day- Family & Community Co-Ordinator
I work with families to identify the needs of the community and encourage maximum use of the Sure Start services available. Along with the team we also help organise events and activities maintaining vital links with the community.

Bernadette Cooper- Family Support Worker
I work directly with families living in the local area supporting them in any way they require in the often diffcult job of being a parent.

Angela Jones- Health Visitor / Operational Manager
Angela manages the Health Visiting team. The role of the health team is to provide practical advice and support to new parents and families with pre-school children, living within the First Steps area.

I am the Operations Manager, responsible for the Business element of the First Steps Children's Centre programme.  I also Chair the Voices for Action Group, which is an opportunity for parents in the local community to voice their views and help shape the programme.

My job is to strategically manage First Steps Children's Centre. This includes meeting the needs of the local community along with Government targets.

Sallyann Frisby- Manager Little Steps Day Nursery
Sallyann is the Manager of both Little Steps Day Nusery, 100b Central Avenue a 34 place Neighbourhood Nursery as well as Manager of Welland Family Project at Scalford Drive, Welland, Peterborough. Both settings have recently achieved the OFSTED rating ‘Good.' They are both quality settings with indoor and outdoor play facilites and a sensory room.

Rachel Blakemore- Parents United
Parents United meet regularly at the Drop In, Central Avenue Dogsthorpe. We aim to ensure that support and advice is provided to parents with children up to the age of 19 in a relaxed and informal environment. We also hold lunch and breakfast clubs along with a variety of courses and activities.

In addition, Celia runs a Parents United group and Breakfast Club once a week on a Thursday morning at the Acorn Centre 20 Scalford Drive.
